After qualifying as a physiotherapist, I spent a number of years developing my skills in the treatment of a broad variety of musculoskeletal disorders. As a keen sportsman, my particular area of interest is in the rehabilitation of sports injuries with a specialist interest in whiplash associated disorders (WAD). I provide specialist physiotherapy treatment for both amateur and elite level athletes who participate at both national and international championship level. A particular focus of my work is designing training programmes to prevent injuries as well as providing quick access to treatment should an injury occur.
In addition to my clinical work, I also present lectures on whiplash associated injuries discussing the latest treatment techniques and management strategies for these injuries.
Alongside the more traditional physiotherapy techniques, I can also provide clients with acupuncture as part of their treatment programmes and am registered with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
As a certified and registered Expert Witness, I undertake regular medico-legal work for clients who have been involved in accidents. My medico-legal training has involved extensive work on report writing, witness familiarisation, presenting evidence under cross-examination, and an up-to-date knowledge of expert duties under Part 35 CPR. I am happy to accept instructions from solicitors who require specialist knowledge relating to musculoskeletal injury.
